This is one of two afternoon session options for the Spring 2026 In-Person Education Program on Saturday, May 2, 2026. The other option in this time slot is Practicing your skills in addressing conflict. The morning workshops are Preventative maintenance and Governance tools.

Fee: If your co-op is a member of CHFT, PHCHF or your local federation (or CHF Canada if there is no
local federation) registration for the Education Event is $110 per person.

The fee covers a choice of two workshops (one morning session and one afternoon session), as well as pastries and coffee or tea in the morning, two breaks and a hot lunch.

We have very limited space for this event and we expect it to sell out. Registration will close at 9:00 AM two days before the in-person education event. Register today!

If you have any questions about registration, contact Denese Gascho at reception@coophousing.com. If you have questions about the workshops, contact Naomi Cho at naomi@coophousing.com.

Facilitators: Community Resilience to Extreme Weather (CREW)

Summary

Extreme weather due to climate change is now a reality. There are many things that we can do in our communities to address climate impacts and keep one another safe.

This role play session asks participants to adopt the profile of a neighbourhood stakeholder engaging in problem-solving dialogue. Players will experience the critical need for strong relationships to build resilience.

Local solutions led by residents and other community leaders make our communities more climate ready and resilient.
